(We’ve been gone for a while, but don’t fret.)
After their wonderful coming out album, The Palace Garden, Beat Connection are scorching. With an island flair that turned heads this summer, the tropical-influence quartet, hailing from the not-so-tropical climes of Seattle have moved on to re-working other tracks to fit their verdant vibe.
In celebration of the release of Southern Shores’ EP, New World, which debuted last week, Beat Connection spiced up the Toronto-based duo’s already equatorial tempered track “New Love.” Taking the original, B.C. adds a drum and bass backdrop to speed up proceedings, while preserving the breathy vocals, which seem straight out of the Delorean playbook. Southern Shores’ New World is out now on Cascine.
