If you’re all still alive and kicking on the day of the second coming, another day of great live music at Stanford should be enough to coax you out of your basements and bomb shelters. Stanford’s first ever Laker Music Festival hits the field between the Enchanted Brocoli Forest and Kappa Alpha on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. as a slew of student acts and bonafide headliners should have you dancing your ass off before kissing it goodbye.

The school year has already seen the likes of Steve Aoki and Broken Social Scene grace campus, and Saturday hopes to continue the trend for great music and good vibes as Blackbird Blackbird, Lemaitre and The Juan MacLean bring their electronic stylings to the Farm. With Lake Lagunita providing the backdrop, there couldn’t be a more perfect setting to close out the year–or our lives, if you entertain the rumors of the rapture.

The first of the headliners, San Francisco’s Blackbird Blackbird, take over the stage at dusk for a (sun)set, if you will. The bedroom project of Mike Maramag should provide an amazing mix of lo-fi dream pop to welcome the night. Lemaitre takes over at 10. From the cooler climes of Oslo, teenagers Ketil Jansen and Ulrik Denizou Lund draw from the influence of the burgeoning Scandinavian electronic scene, dropping fat basslines and disco synths to create dance-friendly soundscapes that will carve up the lakeside field.

John MacLean, more commonly known as The Juan MacLean, will finish off the night, starting at 11. Now the DFA flagship with LCD Soundsystem in retirement, MacLean will be without usual tourmate Nancy Whang during his hour-long DJ set, but that shouldn’t stop him from unleashing the funk. Having recently toured Japan and North America in support of his new DJ Kicks Mix, MacLean should see us through the first night of the rapture, God willing.
